The Institute of Beauty and Wellness will be hosting Elaine Stillerman, LMT, Presenter of MotherMassage ®: Massage During Pregnancy. Below you will find important information that you will need in order to attend the education training.
Date: October 2-4, 2016.
(Sunday and Monday at 9:00am-6:00pm | Tuesday at 8:30am-3:00pm)
Tuition: $425.00 for early registration. Participants taking this class for a second time will be discounted $25.00 per day, totaling $350.00 (or $425 for late registrations). A late fee of $500.00 will be imposed on any individual who registers within two weeks of the class. All registrants are required to PAY IN FULL at the time of registration to be confirmed in the class.
Classroom Supplies Needed: Students are required to bring two large and two small towels, four sheets, two standard size pillows and one small pillow, unscented lubrication and a notebook everyday. These supplies are required.
CEs: 24 CEs from Florida Board of Massage Therapy, N.C.B.T.M.B., and New York State Board of Massage Therapy. 10 CEU’s from MTANS (Canada).
In order to receive professional certification, students must satisfactorily complete the entire course, pass a take home exam with a score of at least 80% and provide written proof of prenatal massage therapy service for two (different) pregnant women. Ms. Stillerman reserves the right to deny professional certification to anyone who has not demonstrated professional standards in behavior, comportment, skills, or academics.
Additional Information: MotherMassage ® is a professional certification program. Students must satisfactorily complete the entire workshop, pass a take-home exam with a grade of at least 80% and have two different pregnant women each sign Receipt of Services letters indicating that they were massage by the student. The letters are included with the exam.
MotherMassage ® provides twenty-four (24) CEs from Florida Board of Massage, National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and New York State Board of Massage Therapy. 10 CEU’s from MTANS (Canada).
Participants may include professional massage therapists, advanced massage therapy students, childbirth educators, labor coaches and doulas, labor nurses, and midwives. All non-massage professionals must have basic massage therapy skills.
